This gorgeous little Jack looks to be a ROUGH COAT, the hardest to find of ALL Jacks. We have heard some breeders say cut your rough coats' hair! Talk about not knowing when you have it good!! Their hair is who they are! Not only is it a mark of breeding, but their personality! We have heritage from Demo Jones, a 4 time champion JRTCA. This little "Jack in the Rough" is 400.00. Don't delay, too long, he was our ONLY ROUGH in this litter. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rough coats are hard to find that is why most breeders do not sell them. Only about 15-20% of ALL Jacks are Rough Coats. The majority of Jacks are Smooth or Broken Coats. A gorgeous ROUGH COAT Jack is truly a treasure and can make you a very happy and blessed owner!

What distiguishes a Jack Russell?..........

The little boy above is a good example of a smoothcoat. They run from $300.00 to $400.00. A good Jack Russell is black or black and tan(tricolor)-with a mostly white coat on its body. Length of back, leg length to body length, correct eye shape, length of tail, and body symmetry all play a part in the BEST OF THE BEST here at Hoosier-Canuck. We are proud to announce the arrival of 5 new pups from Jake and Phoebe, our best female standard smoothcoat, born 04/01/2009.

The color of a good JRT:

Generally, a whiter coat (less mottling) and symmetric markings represent a superior genetic Jack Russell.Ask us about worming, You only have to worm if your dogs have worms. Our vet tells us he has never seen a dog with worms till ours :)

Bloodline- Your security

Asking for the puppy's papers, is all fine and good, but you must always make sure you have at least 4 or 5 generations of bloodlines. This can tip you off if the breeder is just breeding pups or correct bloodlines. At a minimum, a breeder should know about the last 3 generations firsthand. If they don't, how can you know what you are getting in your pup?------------------------------------------------------------------------------ We have heard many stories, all the time, from other owners saying their Jack Russell had to have surgery for hips, knees, kidneys, etc that will cost up to $ 3,000. We have never had ANY problems with ANY pups or their parents, back as far as we can trace our lineage. Many of these pups are advertised at "bargain" prices. Just remember, these traits are in their bloodlines. That is why we prefer JRTCA breedings, to make sure you have a dog with a clear history of superior breeding.
